Principal’s Message

Ridge Elementary has a strong community support system and it has been a pleasure to serve the community this past year.  As I venture into my 2nd year at Ridge, I am excited to be “Wild about Learning” with you! I believe this theme will set a positive and exciting tone for learning at Ridge this year.   As we navigate the year we will work as a TEAM to be WILD about our goals and we will celebrate our successes, WILDLY of course!

In order to prioritize the health and safety of our staff, students, families, and community, the School Board has approved a virtual start for the first nine weeks of the 2020-2021 school year.  Our teachers have been preparing this summer by participating in professional development opportunities that will provide them the tools necessary to have a successful virtual classroom this fall.   We know that our students and staff will be “Wild about Learning” during our virtual learning time.

Parents are an integral part of their child’s learning therefore we are encouraging parents to connect with their child’s teacher in order to support the learning taking place virtually..  We also encourage families to contact the PTA to learn about ways that we are staying connected as a community.

Together we will create the best possible educational experience for the students at Ridge!
