Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! At Ridge, we are so happy to celebrate the culture of so many of our students, staff and families!! Today on the announcements the students heard about an opportunity to come and share about their culture! They can bring items, make posters, or just come and share traditions they love! If your student is interested in doing this, have them let their teacher know as soon as they’re ready! We’ll be celebrating all month long 🎉

Mrs. Caracciolo’s Kindergartners have been learning all about what it takes to be a good citizen during their first few weeks of school! They are showing off all they’ve learned on their crowns. They are prepped and ready to embody Ridges expectations of safe, responsible and respectful for the rest of the year! 💕🤓☀️

Counting fun is happening all over Ridge!! Mrs. Cable’s class used manipulatives to practice making groups of ten! ✏️📚

Another day of 4th graders learning how to save this earth!!! This week they learned how the watershed can be affected by pollutants. They observed how pollutants can lower our water quality and impact living things. 🌎🌳

Take us out to the ballgame!!! Various families and Ridge staff made it to the Squirrels game Thursday night to raise $$$ for our PTA! We had a blast hanging out and cheering on the Flying Squirrels!! 🐿️

Today the teachers got a surprise treat from two of the sweetest cookies in the pack, Mrs. Hunsicker & Mrs. Raonaq, and the rest of the hospitality committee!! YUM! 😋 🍪

One week away!!! Join the Ridge PTA for their first FREE family event of the year! They will have games, bounce houses, and free food for all. Bring the whole family to have fun with friends and teachers as we start the new school year!

Ms. Daly’s class is getting hands on in math making manipulatives out of various items! 🧮

The 4th grade team is committed to keeping our Earth clean & healthy for years to come!! The students headed outside to investigate what happens when we pollute our watershed and how it affects humans, plants, and animals 💚💦♻️

Apparently this week was accidental twin week?! Two besties in Mrs. Caracciolo’s class and our amazing reading coaches were so in sync that they came to school dressed the same!! 🌟🌟

Week 2 is complete!! 👾 Just a reminder that schools will be closed Friday & Monday in honor of Labor Day! We will see you on Tuesday! 🩵
